OMG! Pooja lights 'agarbattis' with Sonu's Azaan fire

New Delhi: Sonu Nigam on Monday was the latest target of Twitterati after the singer expressed his anger on morning Azaan played on loudspeakers which forced him to wake up early morning.

Sonu took it to twitter and tweeted, "God bless everyone. I'm not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India" 

After which Sonu questioned the use of electricity in Mosque and tweeted, "And by the way Mohammed did not have electricity when he made Islam. Why do I have to have this cacophony after Edison?"

Later on, Sonu expressed his anger on waking up people at early morning by morning prayers played on loudspeakers at Temple and Gurudwara and tweeted, "I don't believe in any temple or gurudwara using electricity To wake up people who don't follow the religion . Why then..? Honest? True?"      

And his last tweet was, "Gundagardi hai bus..."

After which Sonu Nigam trended on Twitter, everyone had an opinion on the Sonu's problem. Although few agreed with Sonu, whereas many bashed him for his views as well. One of such people was Pooja Bhatt, who never shy away from speaking her mind, The Jism 2 director took a jibe at the singer on Twitter as she posted, "I wake each morning to the sound of church bells & the Azaan in a quiet by-lane of Bandra.I light an aggarbatti & salute the spirit of India"

After Sonu faced the wrath of the people on social media, he posted another tweet explaining himself but he still stood with his words and posted, "Dear everyone. Your stand exposes your own IQ. I stand by my statement that loudspeakers should not be allowed in Mosques & Temples. Period".
