New Delhi: Playing in the second ODI against Sri Lanka in Pallekele, Indian wicketkeeper MS Dhoni equalled the world record of most stumpings in ODI cricket, claiming his 99th victim when he stumped Danushka Gunathilaka's in the 15th over of the match.

With that stumping, MS Dhoni, completed 99 stumpings while playing his 298th ODI match, With 99 stumpings he equalled Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara's record, which he had achieved in 404 matches.
They are followed by Romesh Kaluwitharana of the same Lankan team who has 75 stumpings, followed by Pakistani great Moin Khan with 73.
In the other formats of the game, Dhoni has 38 stumpings from 90 Test matches and in T20Is, he has 23 stumpings from 77 matches.
