A non-local labourer is injured as security forces, terrorists exchange fire in Pulwama
In Jammu & Kashmir, a non-local labourer was injured in cross-firing after unidentified militants attacked Army's patrolling party that was engaged in local census activity at Haji-Dar Pora in Lassipora area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district this morning.
Aasif Suhaf, Jammu, September 5: A non-local labourer is injured during militants attack on army personnel in Lassipora Pulwama, sources told News24.In Jammu & Kashmir, a non-local labourer was injured in cross-firing after unidentified militants attacked Army's patrolling party that was engaged in local census activity at Haji-Dar Pora in Lassipora area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district this morning.The injured person has been identified as Arjun Kumar, son of Suresh Kumar of Bareilly Uttar Pradesh. He has sustained bullet injury in head and is being treated at local hospital in Pulwama district.Security sources said that there was no immediate report of any human loss, injuries or damage on militant or forces' side so far.They said that 55 RR (Rashtriya Rifles) census party was moving in the area and militants fired upon them.A manhunt was launched to nab the attackers while militants are believed to have escaped after the attack.A brief exchange of fire took place on Wednesday between terrorists and security forces in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, the police said. Terrorists opened fire on a patrol party of security forces at Haji Darpora in Pulwama, a police official said.Security forces retaliated, leading to brief exchange of fire between the two sides, he said, adding there were no casualties.Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched search operations to track down the terrorists, the official said.
