The Nokia 9 is all set to launch before 2018 ends. HMD Global will be hosting an event in Dubai on December 5th and has sent out media invites. Going by the event invite, it suggests that the company may launch at least four smartphones at the event which could include recently leaked Nokia 2.1 Plus, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 8.1 alongside the Nokia 9.
Juho Sarvikas, HMD Global Chief Product Officer has also shared the event invite in a tweet captioning it #ExpectMore. The invite poster displays three smartphones, with different width of the displays. The smartphone in the middle is seen with the widest display among the three, however, this could be also due to the angle at which it is held. The smartphone on the right side of the poster has chamfered edges while the other two do not. The company is expected to reveal Nokia 9 with five cameras on the rear panel at the event.
Nokia 7.1 Specifications:
As for Nokia 7.1 specifications, the dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone has a 5.84-inch full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) PureDisplay panel, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, HDR10 support and runs Android Oreo.
Talking about camera, Nokia 7.1 has a pair of a dual rear camera of a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The handset sports an 8-megapixel fixed focus sensor on the front.
The smartphone has a 64GB of inbuilt storage and a microSD card (up to 400GB). It has a 3,060mAh non-removable battery with 18W fast charging, giving 50 per cent charge in 30 minutes.
Nokia 8.1 Specifications
According to a report published by a NokiaPowerUser, the posters of the Nokia 8.1 leaked just days before the expected official launch. The pictures leaked revealed that design of the Nokia 8.1, resembled the Chinese Nokia X7 with similar display notch, Nokia branding on the bottom chin, for photography, it will sport a vertical dual rear camera setup while a 20-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
Other key features that are leaked suggest that the Nokia 8.1 will feature a 6.18-inch full-HD+ display panel with dual-tone anodised metal frame as the Nokia X7, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC. The smartphone will the Nokia 8.1 will run on Android One-based stock version of Android Pie out-of-the-box.
Nokia 9 Specifications
The rumours leaked so far suggest that Nokia 9 could sport a 5.5-inch QHD display with bezels similar to the Nokia 8. The smartphone could be launched in two variants, one with 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal memory and one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
As far as design is concerned, it could sport a glossy rear panel either made up of glass or metal with a vertical dual rear camera setup. Since the company is launching the device in January 2018 or February at MWC 2018, it is expected that it will be powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset rather than the newly announced 845 processor with IP6 certification and will run on Android 8.0 Oreo.
As far as price is concerned Nokia 9 may come up with a price tag of approx. Rs 36,000 for the 64GB variant and approx. Rs 40,800 for the 128GB model.
