News24 salutes woman police officer with Jashne Youngistan Samman

New Delhi, Nov 27: Under Jashn-e-Youngistan, News24 has taken a unique initiative to appreciate and encourage the dynamic young power of the country as it is the youth in whose hands lie the future of a nation. As part of this unique initiative News 24 has honoured Assam's brave IPS officer Sanjukta Parashar.

At a mega event organised here, Union Minister of State for Home
Kiren Rijiju gave the Jashne-Youngistan Samman for Excellence in Police Services  to Sanjukta.

Who is Sanjukta Parashar?

Sanjukta Parashar’s name is enough to fill terror in the hearts and minds of Bodo militants of Assam. She has taken down 6 militants and arrested over 64 militants in just 15 months. Sanjukta regularly leads CRPF jawans in dangerous reserve forests of the terror-infested region, and has been very successful in full-blown bullet-for-bullet crackdowns. She is best known for leading her battalion head-on armed with a loaded AK-47. She is the first and only Assamese lady IPS officer.
