New Delhi, May 21: Hyundai launched the much-awaited Venue subcompact SUV in India on Tuesday which has been priced at Rs. 6.5 lakh to Rs. 11.10 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
It's the Hyundai's first subcompact SUV for the Indian market and will rival the likes of the Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford Ecosport, and Tata Nexon.
The SUV will arrive in a total of 13 variants including five diesel and eight petrol variants across four trim levels – E, S, SX, and SX(0).
The Hyundai Venue is offering three engine options -- a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit, 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit and a 1.4-litre diesel engine.
The car offers in-house developed 7-Speed and an automatic gearbox with DCT technology which the company is featuring in India for the first time.
It comes with a 6-speed and a 5-speed manual transmission as well.
The new Venue will come in seven colour options-- Star Dust, Fiery Red, Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Deep Forest, Lava Orange and Denim Blue.
Apart from the monochrome option, the Venue will also be available in three dual colour options--blue with white roof, white with black roof and orange with black roof.
For the first time, Hyundai will feature the ‘Blue Link’ connectivity solution, with 33 connected features. Apart from that , it offers 10 only-India features like remote start-stop, remote climate control and remote door lock/unlock, along with a find my car function.
The Venue also features geo-fencing, live car tracking and speed alerts that can all be checked via an app which connects to the SUV.
It also has an 8-inch floating touchscreen display, loaded with Apple Carplay, Android Auto, navigation and more.
