New Delhi, News24 Bureau, Dec 6: Punjab cabinet minister Navjoy Singh Sidhu has literally been asked to shush. He will not speak for the next four days, come whatever may. Yes, this is for real. Punjab's Local Government, Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has been advised complete rest for three to five days as he was "on the brink of losing his voice."Sidhu is known to be verbose and talkative. Given an opportunity, he can go on and on. But this very habit of being talkative is becoming fatal for him and is affecting his health.Sidhu has injured his vocal cords and is now taking all precautions. He has now left for an undisclosed destination for a complete check-up and recovery, a Punjab government release said.Sidhu was the Congress' star campaigner and addressed over 70 public meetings in 17 days ahead of elections in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana. During all these campaigns he was speaking continuously and this has damaged his vocal chord.
