New Delhi: Former BJP leader and senior advocate Ram Jethmalani has once again declared an open war agaisnt his long time rival Subramanian Swamy by offering to defend Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald Case.
According to TOI, Jethmalani wrote to Sonia on December 11, two days after the Delhi High Court dismissed her petition seeking quashing of summons issued to her and Rahul in a complaint case filed by Subramanian Swamy alleging irregular transfer of shares from Associated Journals Ltd to Young Indian Ltd.
However, Congress President has not yet accepted the offer.
While speaking to reporters in the city, Jethmalani said that he had no reason to doubt that "Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have done no wrong.
Jethmalani and Swamy have a long-standing rivalry, ever since they made vitriolic comments against each other in a case relating to Rajiv Gandhi's assassination.
