Mulayam-Mayawati will share stage for first time after BSP supremo was assaulted in guesthouse by SP workers

New Delhi, News24 Bureau, April 17: This will be a history of sorts when the SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and BSP supremo Mayawati will share the stage for the first time after the infamous guesthouse episode where the BSP supremo was assaulted by the SP workers. This is called real politics when the two opponents, who were at daggers drawn are coming on the same stage. the initial reports suggest that the BSP supremo will be asking for votes for Mulayam Singh Yadav. They both will be seen together in Mainpuri where Mayawati will ask the voters to vote for Mulayam Singh Yadav.

They both will be coming together after 25 years on April 19 and will campaign for Mulayam Singh Yadav on his home turf Mainpuri, which is his bastion.

Ever since the infamous guesthouse episode of 1995, both BSP and SP could not see eye to eye with each other.

An MLA from the ruling BJP in Uttar Pradesh had earlier come under severe criticism from allies and opposition leaders for calling BSP chief Mayawati a "blot on womankind" and "worse than a transgender". The MLA was referring to the infamous incident when Mayawati was assaulted by Samajwadi Party workers in a Lucknow guest house in 1995.
