New Delhi, Sep 17: PM Narendra Moditurns 67 today. But unlike most leaders he will celebrate his birthday for a national cause. He will be dedicating few projects to the country.
What PM will do on his birthday
1.His day will start by a visit to his mother for her blessings. It is a practice that he has has been following for years. It shows his love, affection and respect for his mother.
2.PM Modi will dedicate Sardar Sarovar Dam on river Narmada to the nation at Kevadia in Gujarat on Sunday. The dam height was recently increased to 138.68 metres, facilitating a usable storage of 4.73 Million Acre feet (MAF).The increase in height will benefit Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
3.After inaugurating the dam, PM Modivisit Sadhu Bet. It is here that Statue of Unity (iconic statue and associated memorial complex for Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel) is currently being constructed. The project includes a 182-metre statue, an exhibition hall, a memorial garden, and a visitor centre.
4.The PM will attend the closing ceremony of the Narmada Mahotsav at Dabhoi. He will also give a speech here. During the event, PM will lay the foundation stone for National Tribal Freedom Fighters’ Museum.
5. Then PM will visit Amreli. Here he will inaugurate a new market yard of APMC and new plants of Amar Dairy. He will then lay the foundation stone of a honey production centre. Later he will address a Sahakar Sammelan.
While PM will be busy promoting his development agenda on his birthday, his Cabinet colleagues will celebrate the day as Seva Diwas (day of service).Under the programme the ministers will give 'shramdaan' (volutary work) for a range of activities including cleanliness and construction of toilets and to make their surroundings free from open defecation.
