Missing from UP, Kashmiri student joins ISIS

Asif Suhaf, Nov 2: Jammu & Kashmir Police along with the army, CRPF arrested a local militant affiliated with Al Badr militant outfit, from Handwara area in north Kashmir's Kupwara district late afternoon today. Arms & ammunition also recovered from the terrorist.

The arrested militant has been identified as Sajad Dar of Rohmoo area in south Kashmir's Pulwama district. Police officials said he had joined militancy last month. Police said a pistol and two grenades were recovered from his possession.

Giving further details DIG North Kashmir said on specific information a joint Naka (Checkpoint) of Police, Army and CRPF was laid at Chutipora Crossing in Handwara area at 1430 hrs today. During checking a suspicious person was intercepted and apprehended.

Pertinently, Sajad, a first-year student of Bachelors in Lab Technician at college in New Delhi, had gone missing from his home since 3rd October and a report to the effect had been lodged in Police Station Rajpora in Pulwama.
