New Delhi, July 18: Lotus has unveiled its all new electric hypercar- Lotus Evija. Lotus has priced it at 1.5 million pounds ( ₹ 12.80 crore approximately) to 2 million pounds ( ₹ 17 crore).
According to Lotus, it is the most powerful series production car ever built. Pronounced 'E-vi-ya', the name means 'the first in existence' or 'the living one'. It is Lotus' first electrified hypercar.
The Evija is the company's first car to feature a one-piece carbon fibre monocoque chassis.
The cabin features a fully adjustable race-style seats. While, it also sports a multi-function steering wheel which is in a way inspired from motorsport car design and technology.
Talking about its exterior, Evija has a chiseled look and has massive front splitter. The two dihedral doors are operated by the key fob instead of handles. While, the rear has a large wing and oblong laser taillights; the car uses lasers for both main and dipped headlight beams as well.
The car offers 1973 bhp torque and also comes with five driving modes - Range, City, Tour, Sport and Track. The car is capable to go 0-100 kmph in just under three seconds. The car has a top speed of over 320 kmph.
