For Lord Ram, Yogi renames Faizabad as Ayodhya

Ayodhya, Nov 6: Amidst growing clamour for Ram Temple in Ayodhya, UP CM Yogi Aditynath renamed Faizabad as Ayodhya, saying that Ayodhya owes its identity to Lord Rama. He was speaking on the occasion the  'Deepotsav' celebrations. As part of the programme over 3 lakh 'diyas' will be lighted  on both the banks of Saryu river. The aim is to create a Guinness World Record. The announcement came in presence of South Korean First Lady Kim Jung-sook, who is the chief guest."Ayodhya's identity is by Lord Rama. On this occasion, I announce that Faizabad will be known as Ayodhya," said Yogi." Earlier, people were afraid of taking Ayodhya's name earlier. No CM used to come here. But I have visited Ayodhya six times eve since I became CM," added Yogi.

"A medical college will be established here in Ayodhya, I want it to be named after King Dasharatha. We will also construct an airport here named after Lord Ram," said an aggressive sounding Yogi.

He also wished everybody a prosperous Diwali while welcoming South Korean first lady Kim-Jung Sook and the members of the Korean contingent who ar taking part in the Deepotsav.On the occassion a statue of Lord Ram  with Lord Hanuman has been installed on the banks of river Saryu river
