New Delhi: There is a strong possibility of Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati coming together. If it happens then 2019 match over, says RJD chief Lalu Yadav. Lalu Yadav has been facing a setback of sorts as his family members get entangled in the Income Tax net and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar backing BJP's handpicked presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind putting aside all requests by the 'Mahagathbandhan' allies not to do so. Things are not the same between JD (U) and RJD despite their attempts to pacify the media every now and then.
Backed by Congress, Lalu Yadav is at the forefront of bringing all political parties together to teach BJP a lesson in 2019 elections. With Nitish Kumar showing dilly-dallying every now and then, Lalu has taken upon himself to handle the challenge and is doing the impossible by bringing traditional foes on the same platform.
"There is a strong possibility of Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati coming together," Lalu said today in Patna, adding, "If it happens, then the 2019 match is over."
Speaking at the foundation day of his party in Patna, Lalu further said, "Be it Robert Vadra, Priyanka (Gandhi) ji, (Arvind) Kejriwal, Mamata (Banerjee) didi or Lalu Yadav and his family - an attempt is being made to break them."
Both Akhilesh and Mayawati had faced a major defeat in the UP Assembley elections giving BJP a clear sweep. The UP defeat was later attributed to the triangular contest and this was checked in a big way in Bihar as Lau, Nitish and the Congress had joined hands to defeat BJP.
It is assumed that the great maneovering skills of Lalu Yadav will come handy in handling the 2019 elecctions and stopping the Modi tsunami.
