Jaipur/New Delhi: A Vishwa Hindu Parishad activist has lodged a police complaint in Rajasthan's Chittorgarh district against lawyer-politician Prashant Bhushan, while ink was thrown at his house in Noida.
Controversy erupted when Bhushan on Sunday tweeted, “Romeo loved just one lady, while Krishna was a legendary Eve teaser. Would Adityanath have the guts to call his vigilantes Anti-Krishna squads?”.
VHP activist Pankaj Tiwari filed the complaint late Sunday evening alleging that Bhushan has "hurt religious sentiments" through his comments, and demanded action against him."The complaint is being probed and no FIR has yet been registered," SHO Chittorgarh Kotwali Omprakash said on Monday.
Meanwhile a group of about eight persons reached Bhushan's house in Noida on Monday and threw ink. They disappeared after that.
To douse the fire, Bhushan went in a damage-control mode by tweeting that his remarks had been distorted and he had no intention of hurting religious sentiments.
