By scoring 45 runs, Kohli became the top Asian player as captain. He has now scored maximum runs as captain in Asia. When Kohli was on 27 he went past Pakistan’s Misbah-ul-Haq to become number one in Asia. Kohli has 4233 runs in 42 matches with an average of 65.12. In 69 innings as captain, Kohli has made 17 hundreds and 9 half-centuries. Misbah had scored 4214 runs as a captain in 56 matches. His average was of 51.39.
World wide, South African Graeme Smith is number 1 with 8659 runs in 109 matches. He is followed by Australians Allan Border (6623 runs in 93 matches) and Ricky Ponting (6542 in 77 matches).
In India, MS Dhoni is second spot with 3454 runs in 60 matches as captain. Next is Sunil Gavaskar with 3449 runs in 47 matches as captain.
