Karnataka Polls: Gowda has an understanding with Congress, says PM Modi

New Delhi, May 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday dared the Congress to come clean on its tacit pre-poll alliance with the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) led by H.D. Deve Gowda whom he whom he had earlier praised as "one of the greatest leaders of our country".

Later while addressing another rally in Gadag PM Modi was in an attacking mood on Congress, which is in power in the election bound Karnataka.

"Congress isn't bothered about depletion of natural resources here. Till the time pockets of their leaders are full, they're happy. They see corruption opportunities in forests of Karnataka. Corruption is key to Cong's existence, " said PM Narendra Modi in Gadag adding, "Congress is worried about losing Karnataka and there is a reason behind this and that is leaders and ministers here have made a huge tank. This tank stores money and a pipeline takes money straight to Delhi. If Karnataka goes, what will happen to their leaders in Delhi?PM said, " Hae you ever thought why it took so long for Congress to distribute tickets? This's due to a tender system, for tickets, there will also be a tender for CM-ship. Whoever sends maximum amount of money to Delhi will get the CM-ship in Congress.PM Modi said that Congress has not done anything except looting the state and after the results of the election Congress will become PPP Congress- Punjab, Puducherry and Parivar Congress.Refering to veteran Congress leader Sonia Gandhi PM Modi said, "In 2007 in Goa, while seeking votes for Congress Sonia Gandhi made a speech on the waters of Mahadayi in which she had said that she'd ensure that Karnataka doesn't get Mahadayi's water, had Siddaramaiah known about that speech he would not have misled people.News24Bureau with Agencies
