Kareena Kapoor Khan is never off the headlines. The actor is currently on a promotional tour for her upcoming film titled ‘Veere Di Wedding’, recently attended an event in Delhi. She was one of the panelists for discussing ways to eliminate preventable neonatal deaths. Kareena professed that she chose to be part of the event on the Mother’s day because her son Taimur is cherishing a father’s day with his dad Saif Ali Khan. She accredited a major part of her son being the content tot he is to Saif.
On being asked about the kind of father he is, she said, “Saif has been a parent before. He is a father, and the coolest one I know. He is amazing with his children, and they are so well brought up. I just want him to be like that with our child. I don’t know how I’m going to be as a mother. But with Saif, it’s quite strange: Saif is very spoiled, and he spoils me a lot too. But with his children, he’s very grounded. Suddenly, he is all stable-headed and becomes another person. It’s quite amazing.”
On her home accomadating another member, to which she says, "We’ve done up the room and it’s looking lovely. Also, we’ve lived in this house for 10 years; we have hosted parties and enjoyed ourselves in our space. Now, it’s time for a different phase in our life. It also completes our family energy-wise. I’m eagerly looking forward to it.”
Kareena, who is also a UNICEF Goodwill Advocate, voiced her views on the significance of girl education and how a family can play a prominent role in it. She opined that she has herself been extremely lucky. She said that post her childbirth, she was very tired and while everyone has a notion of putting the child on the mother’s breast, she thought the same. She further added that with her eyes half shut, she asked Saif to give Taimur the kangaroo love. She gave a shoutout to all the fathers who support and understand the concern of a newborn’s health. She was all praise for Saif Ali Khan.
