New Delhi: The humble city of Kanpur gave a rousing welcome to the body of the son of soil Captain Ayush Yadav who lost his life fighting for the nation with the terrorists at Kupwara. The body arrived at Chakeri Airport at 4:40 pm yesterday and was kept at the mortuary of the Army Hospital where the people came to pay homage to the brave soldier.
Captain Ayush Yadav had joined the service three years back. Captain Ayush along with two other soldiers had laid his life fighting the terrorists at Kupwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. Two terrorists were killed in the encounter. Heavily armed terrorists had entered the army camp.
The curbs under Section 144 of Criminal Penal Code which prohibits assembly of five or more people had been imposed in Kupwara town, Kralpora, Trehgam and Lalpora Sogam. Former UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav had also visited the bereaving family.
