New Delhi: The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) deferred classes 10 and 12 practical exams amid increasing number of covid-19 infections. The Madhya Pradesh is under corona curfew till May 15 due to a surge in cases. The practical exams were scheduled to be held from May 20.
The board announced through its official Twitter handle that the practical exams have been postponed until further notice.
The MPBSE had also announced that there will be at least 30 per cent MCQs in every subject and the exams will be held on a reduced syllabus by 30 per cent.
The official Tweet from Schools Education Department, MP says, “Keeping in view the infection of the Board, due to Corona Curfew (lock down) in the state till May 15, 2021, the experimental examinations of the Board are postponed till further orders. The dates for conducting the postponed experimental examinations will be announced separately”.
Now, Madhya Pradesh has postponed all practical exams till further notice amid covid lockdown.
Earlier, the Madhya Pradesh Board had also deferred the 10th and 12th examinations. Among them, the 10th board examination was to be held from 30 April, while the 12th board examination was to be held from 1 May. But these have been pushed forward again.
Practical examinations of High School, Higher Secondary as well as Diploma in Pre-School Education and Education Students were to be held from May 20 in Madhya Pradesh. But now they also have been pushed forward. Now in such a situation, students are advised to keep an eye on the official site to check the revised practical exam dates and keep visiting from time to time.
