New Delhi: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal disclosed that Delhi to have its own Board of School Education.
While confirming his approval of State Board, Kejriwal said that the new stir will bring extreme differences in Delhi's new education system. It will reach new heights as well.
"There are around 1000 govt schools & 1700 private schools in Delhi. All govt schools and most private schools here are affiliated with CBSE. Their CBSE affiliation will be scrapped & they'll be affiliated to Delhi Board of School Education," Kejriwal was quoted as saying.
Delhi CM further added that "Schools will be selected after discussion with principals, teachers & parents. We hope that all schools will voluntarily get affiliated to this Board within 4-5 years."
It will have a governing body chaired by Education Minister. It'll also have an executive body which will be headed by a CEO.
