New Delhi: Banaras Hindu University (BHU) reopened its campus for final-year students from February 22. Classes will proceed with both online and offline-mode and time tables are also released on the official website of the university. It had already opened its hostels on February 17.
The decision to reopen the BHU campus and hostels for final year students was taken on February 5, in a meeting chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of the university.
The administrators notified that specific students had made an effort to hinder the welcoming ceremony of the students at the entrance gate. A group of students stood at the entrance to urge the reopening of the University for them. Then, the university allows the final-year students to enter the campus.
Earlier, BHU had started the online classes during the lockdown in March 2020 and continued them till present.
Students will have to follow guidelines related to COVID-19 and bring a no objection certificate. They were asked to carry self declaration form, ID cards, maintain social distance of six feet, and follow the guidelines after entering the campus.
