New Delhi: The Delhi High Court will on Monday hear the bail plea of JNU Students' Union President Kanhaiya Kumar, who has been arrested for raising anti-India slogans on JNU campus.
Justice Pratibha Rani, who on February 24 had deffered the hearing till February 29 after Delhi police informed the court that it will seek Kanhaiya's further custodial interrogation, will resume the hearing today.
Kanhiya Kumar, who was arrested on February 12, was in Police custody till February 17. His custody was later extended till March 2, following violence at the court premesis during the remand proceedings.
Meanwhile, another JNU student Ashutosh Kumar, who is among one of the six students to have been charged with sedition, was questioned by the Police yesterday in connection with the case.
Ashutosh was questioned by two teams of Delhi Police and some officers from Delhi Police's counter-terrorism unit for about eight hurs at the RK Puram police station.
