New Delhi, July 23: Ahead of the Jio GigaFiber roll out in the broadband market, state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has revamped its plans with additional benefits, like increasing FUP data for four of its FTTH plans at the same prices. The current plans worth Rs. 3,999, Rs. 5,999, Rs. 9,999, and Rs. 16,999 will now offer more data compared to earlier FUP. This move by BSNL is seen to take on Jio GigaFiber in 1,100 cities across India
Plans after revision
Rs 3999 plan
After revision, the BSNL Fibro Combo ULD 3999 plan is reported to offer 500GB of FUP data with download speeds of 50Mbps. Earlier, the same plan offered 300GB at 20Mbps. Post FUP limit, the user gets unlimited data Internet access, but the download speed will drop to 4Mbps.
Rs 5999 plan
The Fibro Combo ULD 5999 will now offer 1000GB of FUP data per month at 60Mbps speed whereas earlier, the same plan offered 400GB of FUP data at 30Mbps. Post FUP, users can still access the internet at 4Mbps.
Rs 9999 plan
The Fibro Combo ULD 9999 plan will now offer 2TB of FUP data at 80Mbps speed whereas earlier, the same plan offered data with 600GB FUP limit at 50Mbps.
Apart from the other two plans, users can access the internet at 6Mbps post FUP.
Rs 16999 plan
The Fibro Combo ULD 16999 plan will now offer 3TB of FUP data at 100Mbps speed. Earlier, the same plan provided 800GB of FUP data at 100Mbps. Post FUP speed gets reduced to 4Mbps.
