New Delhi, Nov 30: Reliance Jio which received around 60 lakh bookings of JioPhone in the first round of the sale, for which company is still in process to deliver and clear earlier bookings. Most of the customers have already received it while others will get it in upcoming days. Customers are still receiving messages to contact the nearest Jio store to collect their JioPhone while there is no official time mentioned by Jio, as to when the JioPhone delivery will be completed.
While the delivery process is on, Jio is also sending messages to its customers who had earlier shown interest in buying the JioPhone. To recall, the company claimed to have received around 10 million customers who had shown interest in buying the JioPhone but couldn't because the booking process was halted due to the heavy demand. These people from 10 million figure are now getting a message from Reliance Jio which reads, "Thank you for your interest in JioPhone. To confirm your interest, click http://jio.com/r/QkSCvPpq or call 18008898889. On availability of JioPhone, we will inform you in advance. Team Jio."
This reminder message Jio is being mistakenly considered as the start of the second round of booking for JioPhone.
The motto of this message could be to learn the consumer's interest basically if buyers are still interested to get a JioPhone, and if yes, the company wants to how many of them are actually interested.
At present, the company is yet to give its official word on the second round of JioPhone booking.
The Jio Phone features a 2.4-inch display, powered by the 1.2GHz Spreadtrum SPRD dual-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB ROM. For photography, JioPhone has a 2-megapixel camera and a VGA front facing camera.
JioPhone is backed by a 2000mAh battery and promises 12 hours of talk time. The 4G enabled JioPhone can be used only on Reliance Jio 4G network.
