Jashn-E-Youngistan 2018 to honour Lt Col Mitali Madhumita

New Delhi, Nov 23: Madhumita joined the army in the year 2000. She was part of the Army Education Corps and served in Kabul, Afghanistan.  Lieutenant Colonel Mitali Madhumita received the Sena Medal in 2011 for the exemplary courage shown during the attack on the Indian embassy by terrorists in Kabul, Afghanistan on 26 February 2010. She saved many precious lives and the tales of her valour were recited in Indian households.
