Jashn-E-Youngistan 2018 to felicitate Neeraj Chopra

New Delhi, Nov 23: In athletics, India is no longer an anonymous country, and the relentless efforts of likes of Neeraj Chopra has got the momentum going. Neeraj Chopra recently won a gold medal in the Commonwealth Games, and has once again added glitter to country's name.

Neeraj made his first Asian Games appearance bearing Indian flag at the 2018 Asian Games. Neeraj who competes in the javelin throw clinched the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games as well as the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Neeraj also holds the record of the first Indian to triumph in Javelin Throw at CWG. In 2016, Neeraj became the champion of IAAF World U20 in Poland and set the world junior record of 86.48 m at the championships.

In 2017, the athlete clinched another gold medal in Asian Athletic championships. He also represents India at the IAAF Diamond League. In May 2018, Neeraj again broke the national record with a throw of 87.43 meters at the Doha Diamond League.
