IPL 2017: Irfan Pathan replaces Dwayne Bravo in Gujarat Lions squad

New Delhi: Dwayne Bravo of Gujrat Lions has been substituted with Irfan Pathan on Tuesday. Irfan Pathan was signed by Gujrat Lions who, earlier, went unsold in IPL 2017 auction in February, despite having a base price of just 50 Lakhs. 

Dwayne Bravo has walked out of the tournament due to his hamstring injury and for the remaining seven matches in the 2017 Indian Premier League Irfan Pathak has walked in.It was confirmed on late Monday night that Pathan has joined the team, against while Sportstartlive reported that he is already in Bengaluru with the team and they will play their next match on 27against Royal Challengers Banglore.

PThe previous season, Pathan was a part of Rising Pune Supergiant but he remained uncapable to have any impact on his fans. He failed to take any wicket in the last four matches he played for Pune. This time it is going to be big for him.

During the  Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he took Five wickets in Four matches at an average of 17.60 and an economy rate of 6.28. However, he struggled with the bat, managing just 32 runs.
