London, May 24: Even as Kedar Jadhav is yet to stage a full recovery, the Indian cricket team saw another all-rounder add his name to the injury list on Friday.
Even as the Indian team took part in a practice session ahead of Saturday's warm-up match against New Zealand, Vijay Shankar injured his forearm while batting at the nets when he tried to pull a delivery from left-arm fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed.
The BCCI is yet officially confirm whether Vijay would need any scans and whether he would be available for the warm-up fixture against New Zealand on Saturday.
The India team management will hope that Vijay's injury is not as Kedar Jadhav is yet to hit full fitness. Jadhav had picked up an injury in his left shoulder during the IPL on May 5.
He was later retained in the 15-man World Cup squad by the selectors based on a positive assessment by Indian team physiotherapist Patrick Farhart.
Jadhav is likely to miss the warm-up game against New Zealand. If Vijay recovers, he is scheduled to bat at the crucial fourth spot.
In case Vijay is not able to take the field, Lokesh Rahul will probably be brought in as a replacement.
