New Delhi: On World Health Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged people to focus on combating novel coronavirus by fighting the deadly covid-19 together. The Prime Minister everyone to take all the possible precautions such as wearing a mask and regularly washing hands which have proved to be beneficiary in curbing the infection surge. Along with this, he also asked everyone to take steps to boost immunity and stay fit.
PM Narendra Modi took to his official Twitter account and said, "On World Health Day, let us keep the focus on fighting COVID-19 by taking all possible precautions including wearing a mask, regularly washing hands and following the other protocols."
He added, "At the same time, do take all possible steps to boost immunity and stay fit."
In a series of tweets, PM Modi affirmed that the government of India is taking numerous measures such as Ayushman Bharat and PM Janaushadhi Yojana ensure best as well as affordable medical care for everyone. He added that India's covid-19 vaccination drive is world's largest and will be effective in strengthening country's fight against the virus.
"The Government of India is taking numerous measures including Ayushman Bharat and PM Janaushadhi Yojana to ensure people get access to top quality and affordable healthcare. India is also conducting the world’s largest vaccination drive to strengthen the fight against COVID-19," said PM Modi.
The Prime Minister also added that the World Health Day is an occasion to reaffirm our gratitude and appreciation to those who work day and night to keep our plane healthy. "It's also a day to reiterate our commitment to supporting research and innovation in healthcare," he said.
