Kolkata: Violence and killings continue unabated during West Bengal Election 2021.The ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), main rivals BJP and other parties in the fray are indulging in daily clashes and targeted killings against each other.
While the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and BJP are indulging in clashes, attacks are also taking place against the Indian Secular Front (ISF) of the Sanjukta Morcha.
On Tuesday, clashes took place between the TMC and the ISF at the Kuchiapara area of Sadhanpur panchayat in North 24 Parganas district.
Trouble started when a poster carrying the photos of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and ISF chief Abbas Siddiqui was spotted in the area. The message on the poster claimed that vote for the Sanjukta Morcha means vote for the BJP.
ISF supporters allege that the poster was put up by by the Trinamool Congress (TMC). ISF supporters started protesting. ISF supporters surrounded Amdanga police station. Later, the siege was lifted with the assurance of the police.
Meanwhile, an ISF worker's head was blown off during clashes with the TMC over the poster. He is being treated at Amdanga Hospital.
Clashes took place between the ISF and TMC on Tuesday evening as well. Several ISF workers were injured in the clash.
Meanwhile, several fresh bombs were found under a tree in the Kuchiapara area on Wednesday morning. This incident spread panic in the area.
Locals claim that the miscreants are doing this to create panic in the area before the polls. The bombs were recovered and taken away by a team from the Aamdanga police station.
