New Delhi: Strict security arrangements have been made in the national capital Delhi for the winter session of Parliament.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police as well as other security agencies are on alert due to the latest threat from controversial Khalistani group Sikh for Justice (SFJ).
According to media reports, Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has appealed to the protesting farmers to surround the Parliament and hoist the Khalistan flag. Not only this, they have also released an online video to do this. Following this, the intelligence agencies have issued an alert. Delhi Police and other agencies have been asked by the intelligence agencies to remain vigilant.
Tight security in Delhi
Security has been beefed up in the national capital, especially in the New Delhi area, in view of the winter session of Parliament which started on Monday.
The Samyukta Kisan Morcha, a farmers' organization protesting on the Delhi-NCR border, has postponed the March 29 tractor march to Parliament, despite the fact that Delhi Police has deployed extra security at various places.
According to the information received from the source, the Delhi Police has made all the necessary security arrangements so that no untoward incident takes place during the Parliament session. It should be mentioned that on January 26, during the Kisan Tractor March, riotous elements had rioted during a violent demonstration at the Red Fort. The limit was reached when another flag was hoisted next to the tricolor on the wall of the Red Fort.
