Ayodhya: The 'muhurat' (auspicious moment) for the 'Bhumi Pujan' of the Shri Ram Mandir will last for a mere 32 seconds on Wednesday!
Grand events have been planned to mark the occasion. Vedic rituals for Wednesday's program started on Tuesday.
Special prayers to Lord Shri Ram are being held on Tuesday. A total of 11 priests will be involved in this puja, which will be held for 6 hours. All the methods of worship will be done inside the premises of the Ram Janambhoomi Temple.
At the same time, the monolithic text of the Ramcharit Manas will be read in the temples of Ayodhya from today. Goddess Sarayu will also be worshiped.
Deities of dynasties of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita worshiped
Ahead of the start of the construction of the Ram Mandir at the Ram Janmabhoomi, the deity of the dynasty of Lord Ram, who is known as the great Devakali Mata in Ayodhya, was also worshiped. The younger Devakali Mata was also worshipped.
The religious rituals to mark the entire event started on Monday when 21 priests conducted prayers dedicated to Lord Ganesh. This was followed by prayers to the deities of the dynasties of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita.
Worship of Lord Hanuman
Apart from this, special prayers to Lord Hanuman is also being organised at the Hanumangarhi Temple from 8 am on Tuesday. This is called 'Nishan Poojan'. It is believed that by worshiping Lord Hanuman, permission will be obtained to worship at the Shri Ram Temple. That is why the worship of Lord Hanuman will be done before the Bhoomi Pujan.
In this puja, the flag of Lord Hanuman will be worshiped. This is the original flag of Lord Hanuman ji at the Hanumangarhi Temple. This puja is so special that it is done only on special occasions at the Hanumangarhi Temple.
Celebration of Deepotsav festival
The festival of Deepotsav began in Ayodhya on Tuesday in order to celebrate the construction of the Ram Mandir. The two-day Deepotsav will be celebrated in Ayodhya on Tuesday and Wednesday. Preparations for this program had started much earlier.
The entire Ayodhya has been decorated to celebrate the commencement of the construction of the Ram Mandir. The temples will be lighted from Tuesday itself and appeals have also been made to the common people to light lamps at their homes. Lighting has also been done on most of the roads leading to the temple of Ayodhya, which will bring out the look like Diwali this evening.
'Muhurat' for 'Bhumi Pujan'
However, the 'muhurat' (auspicious moment) of the 'Bhumi Pujan', for which all these events are being held will last for just 32 seconds.
According to the priests and religious leaders who are supervising the event, the 'muhurat' (auspicious moment) of the 'Bhumi Pujan' will last from 12:44:08 pm on to 12:44:40 pm on Wednesday.
PM Modi will perform special puja for Lord Hanuman
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform a special puja at the Hanumangarhi Temple along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
He will then attend the 'Bhoomi Pujan' at the Ram Janmabhoomi.
Madhuvan Das, the priest of Hanumangarhi Temple, said that no work related to Lord Ram is started without the blessings of Lord Hanuman ji. Hence PM Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath will go to Hanumangarhi Temple and worship Lord Hanuman.
PM Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath will perform a special puja at the Hanumangarhi Temple in order to obtain the blessings of Lord Hanuman ji before laying the foundation stone for the construction of the Ram Mandir at the birthplace of Lord Ram.
