Chandigarh: The flames of the Mundka fire incident in the central capital Delhi have not yet quenched that news of a similar incident is coming from Amritsar in Punjab. According to news agency ANI, a fire broke out at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital in Amritsar. However, it is a matter of relief that so far no casualty has been reported in this accident.
About the incident, fire brigade officer Lovepreet Singh said, "Initially the transformer caught fire. Eight fire tenders reached the spot. The fire has been brought under control. No casualty has been reported."
Mundka fire horror
Earlier on Friday, a terrible fire broke out in a building in Delhi's Mundka area. After this, 27 bodies have been recovered from the spot so far, while 28 people are still reported missing. With this, 12 people who were injured in the fire have been discharged.
Several people are reported missing after the fire. Police is collecting information from the relatives of the missing people. According to the information received, 28 people from about 19 families are still missing. These people are accusing the administration of negligence and are wandering in search of their loved ones.
Police arrests 2 company owners
Two owners of the company in which the fire broke out have been arrested by the police. The two arrested persons have been identified as Varun Goel and Satish Goyal. He was arrested by the Delhi Police on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
Outer District Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) S Sharma told the media that an FIR has been registered and the owners of the building have been taken into custody by the police. He said more bodies were likely to be found as the rescue operation was still on. He said that they would take the help of the forensic team to identify the bodies recovered from the fire.
The office of District Magistrate West has released a list of injured victims who were rescued by the authorities from the fire.
