New Delhi: While updating about the corona covid-19 situation in the national capital, Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain, on Saturday, said,“the positivity ratio in Delhi is at 5 per cent today."


He further stated that the “situation is satisfactory," adding there is a need to do preparations.


According to the Union Health Ministry, Delhi has so far recorded 128,389 cases of Covid-19. Out of the total, 13,681 are currently active in the state while 110,931 have been cured/migrated/discharged.


A total of 3,777 have died so far after contracting the lethal infection in the capital.


With 2,244 active infections, the coronavirus cases in Delhi neared 1 lakh to stand at 99,444 on Sunday, while the death toll mounted to 3,067 with 63 new fatalities. According to the latest state bulletin, 71,339 patients have recovered and been discharged so far, while the number of active cases stood at 25,038. 


As many as 6,43,504 tests have been conducted in Delhi so far.


Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said that the government would provide plasma for free and people do not need to buy or sell it.


The chief minister and other senior members of the government have repeatedly appealed people, who have recovered from COVID-19, to donate their plasma to other patients.


But the response to the calls has been muted at the first-of-its-kind ''plasma bank'', inaugurated by Kejriwal at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) here on July 2, and another one opened a week ago at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP)Hospital, a dedicated coronavirus facility.
