New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the National Cadet Corps Alumni Association in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi on November 19 and will be the first member of the association, Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar said.


"PM Narendra Modi will launch the National Cadet Corps Alumni Association in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh on November 19 and will be the first member of the association. 1283 schools in border and coastal districts to have NCC -- 896 schools in border areas, 255 in coastal areas, and 132 schools in stations where Indian Air Force is present," Kumar said.


He further informed that the first project of Rs 400 crore for propulsion for anti-tank guided missiles by Bharat Dynamics Limited is coming up in Jhansi. Prime Minister Modi will lay its foundation stone in Jhansi, ANI reported.


Also, HAL-manufactured Light Combat Helicopter would be handed over officially to the Indian Air Force chief in Jhansi by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 19. Moreover, the Prime Minister will hand over the DRDO-developed advanced electronic warfare suite for the Indian Navy which will be put on its modern warships including the INS Vikrant, the Defence Secretary said.
