New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will present his Parliamentary constituency Varanasi for projects worth about 700 crore rupees just before Deepawali. PM Modi will inaugurate 19 projects and lay the foundation stone for 17 projects through video conference.

PM Modi will hand over the projects of about 700 crore rupees to the locals through virtual channels at 10:30 AM.


The Prime Minister will also hold talks with the beneficiaries of the projects during this period. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present on the occasion.



Projects to be inaugurated include Sarnath Light and Sound Show, Upgradation of Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital Ramnagar, Sewerage related works, Management of Infrastructure facilities for the protection and protection of cows, Multipurpose Seed Warehouse, 100 MT of agricultural produce capacity Walled Warehouse, IPDS Phase-2, Sampurnanand Stadium has one accommodation for players, Varanasi city smart lighting works, 105 Anganwadi Centers and 102 Cow Shelter Centers.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also inaugurate redevelopment of Dashashwamedh Ghat and Windows Ghat, barracks for PAC police force, redevelopment of some wards of Kashi, redevelopment of the park at Baniya Bagh with park facility, upgradation of multi-purpose hall at Girija Devi Sanskrit Shankul in the city.  He will also lay the foundation stone for repairing roads and development of tourist destinations.


Kashi region BJP president,  Mahesh Chandra Srivastava, in a  statement said that PM Modi will inaugurate 16 schemes worth over Rs 219 crore and lay the foundation of 14 projects worth over Rs 394 core.


BJP unit chief in Uttar Pradesh Swatantra Dev Singh and four ministers will be in attendance at different venues in the city, he said. 


As the local MP, PM Modi had left no stone unturned to ensure all-round development of Varanasi, he said. The cleanliness mission had made lanes and ghats clean, he added.


Meanwhile, Congress leader Ajay Rai has objected to the unveiling of development projects, calling it a violation of the model code of conduct.
