Kolkata: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will conclude the 'Parivartan Yatra' of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in West Bengal by addressing a rally in Kolkata in the first week of March.

The fifth and final leg of the Parivartan Yatra in West Bengal after the Prime Minister's rally in Kolkata will conclude in Kakdwip on February 18 with the address by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the Diamond Harbor Parliamentary constituency.

A large number of people are expected to attend the Prime Minister's rally at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata. The yatra will pass through 51 assembly constituencies in West Bengal.

The rally date has not been decided yet, but it will be decided in the coming days. According to the information, the yatra will pass through the stronghold of parliamentary constituencies of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee.

Recently, rallies organized by the BJP leaders in West Bengal have found a lot of public opinion. The elections to the West Bengal Legislative Assembly with 294 seats are scheduled in April-May this year.

In the 2019 general elections, the BJP recorded a historic win in 18 of the 42 seats in the state. Earlier the party had not done such a demonstration in the state and that is why it is now aiming to win more than 200 seats in the upcoming assembly elections. On February 11, Home Minister Amit Shah flagged off the fourth phase of the Parivartan Yatra from Cooch Behar.
