New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will have a direct dialogue with the farmers today amidst the agitation against the agricultural legislation. 


PM Modi will conduct a virtual dialogue with farmers of 6 different states of India. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will also be present in this program.


It is being hoped that during his dialogue with the farmers, PM Modi will be able to clear the government's position on the agricultural laws and resolve the issue. Farmers from six states will share their experiences with PM Modi. They give their opinions on the decisions taken by the Government of India for farmers across the country and will also share their experiences related to the PM KISAN scheme.


On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also transfer the next installment of Rs 18,000 crore under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme to over 9 crore farmers across the country.


This program is part of the central government's campaign to counter the farmers' protest and clear its position on the agricultural laws. As part of this camapign, 100 press conferences and 700 meetings will be held across the country. 


The BJP will also run a connectivity campaign under which an open letter to the farmers by Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar about the agricultural laws will be delivered from door to door.
