New Delhi, News24 Bureau, Nov 12: Before flying to his constituency Varanasi to inaugurate two highway projects, PM Modi addressed a huge rally in poll-bound Chattisgarh and infused renewed vigour in BJP workers while appreciating them for their efforts. PM Modi addresses a huge rally in Bilaspur. He appreciated the hard work put in by the BJP workers in Chattisgarh. Bilaspur will go to polls on November 20. PM Modi urges people to go out and vote and said that it will continue to break records and will certainly retain power in the state.
Bilaspur is among the 72 seats that will go to polls in the 2nd phase.
"Our opposition still don't know how to fight the BJP. We are focused on development, we went beyond the caste divisions. You can witness development wherever you go in Chattisgarh," said PM Modi.
Before visiting his constituency in Varanasi, where he will inaugurate two highway projects the Prime Minister flew to Chhattisgarh for the rally at noon in Bilaspur.
PM Modi had visited poll-bound Chattisgarh earlier also. BJP is ruling the state since last 15 years and the Congress is hopeful of anti-incumbency factor and BJP is ensuring that it retains power in the state once again.Modi was in the state a couple of days back and said that Congress makes fun of Adivasis. "I don't know why Congress makes fun of adivasis. Once I had gone for a rally in North East India and wore a traditional adivasi headgear, but Congress leaders made fun of it. This was an insult of Adivasi culture," he was quoted as saying by PTI.
"Recently, Congress released its 36-point manifesto for Chhattisgarh. At the release of the manifesto, 'Naamdaar' was referred to as 'sir' 150 times. It means for them the importance of Chhattisgarh is lesser than 'Naamdaar'," pointed out PM Narendra Modi addressing a public rally in Bilaspur.
PM Modi said he has come to Chhattisgarh repeatedly to fulfill former prime minister and BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee's, dreams for the state. He further said that he will not rest till he fulfills Vajpayee's dreams for a prosperous Chhattisgarh
Modi termed the Naxals as "monsters with evil mindset" and said earlier governments did not do enough for the development of Bastar. He asked the Congress why it supports 'Urban Maoists' when the government takes action against them. "The 'Urban Maoists' who live in air-conditioned homes in the cities, look clean and whose children study abroad, remote control the Adivasi children in the Naxal-dominated areas," he was quoted as saying by media.
