Petrol, diesel prices rise for fourth consecutive day, know price in your city

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan said in response to a written question in the Rajya Sabha that at present, the Central Government has no intention of reducing the tax on petrol and diesel.

Manish Kumar, New Delhi: Rising prices of petrol and diesel have increased the problems of common people suffering from inflation. Oil companies have made petrol and diesel costlier for the fourth consecutive day. 


After this increase, the prices of petrol and diesel in the country has reached their highest ever level. Government oil companies have increased the price of petrol by around 28 to 29 paise today, while the price of diesel has increased from 35 to 38 paise. After the latest increase, petrol in Delhi has been increased to Rs 88.14 and diesel to Rs 78.38 per liter. In Mumbai, petrol has come down to Rs 94.64 and diesel to Rs 85.32.


At the same time, the central government has refused to reduce the tax on petrol and diesel. On Wednesday, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan said in response to a written question in the Rajya Sabha that at present, the Central Government has no intention of reducing the tax on petrol and diesel.


Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that the government has no proposal to reduce the tax on petrol and diesel. He said that raising or lowering taxes on petrol and diesel depends on many things such as the needs of the government and market conditions.

- Petrol in Delhi is Rs 88.14 and diesel is Rs 78.38 per liter.


- Petrol in Mumbai is Rs 94.64 and diesel is Rs 85.32 per liter.


- Petrol in Kolkata is Rs 89.44 and diesel is Rs 81.96 per liter.


- Petrol in Chennai is Rs 90.44 and diesel is Rs 83.52 per liter.


- Petrol in Bangalore is Rs 91.09 and diesel is Rs 83.09 per liter.


- Petrol in Bhopal is Rs 96.08 and diesel is Rs 86.48 per liter.


- Petrol in Chandigarh is Rs 84.83 and diesel is Rs 78.09 per liter.


- Petrol in Patna is Rs 90.55 and diesel is Rs 83.58 per liter.


- Petrol in Lucknow is Rs 86.99 and diesel is Rs 78.75 per liter.
