Earlier on Wednesday (April 6), the prices of both petrol and diesel were increased by 80 paise per liter.
Thus, the prices of petrol and diesel have increased 14 times in the last 17 days. The prices of petrol and diesel have increased by up to Rs 10 in 17 days.
Since March 22, the prices of petrol and diesel in the country have been increasing. Petrol and diesel prices were raised on March 22 after remaining stable for a record 137 days. Earlier, petrol and diesel prices had not increased for a long time. From November 4 last year till March 21, there was no increase in the prices of both the fuels.
Petrol in Delhi today has become Rs 105 41 per liter while diesel is being sold at Rs 96 67 paise per liter. In Mumbai, the price of petrol and diesel is Rs 120.51 and Rs 104.77 per litre. Petrol in Kolkata costs Rs 115.12 while diesel costs Rs 99.83 per litre. At the same time, in Chennai too, petrol is Rs 110.85 per liter and diesel is Rs 100.94 per liter.
