New Delhi: There is major relief for the common people on the inflation front. Government oil companies have released the prices of petrol and diesel for today (December 2). State-owned oil companies have not made any change in fuel prices for the 30th consecutive day.


Even today the price of petrol remains the same. Even today, consumers have been greatly relieved as there is no change in petrol-diesel prices. Let me tell you that petrol and diesel prices have been stable at the national level since the reduction in excise duty on November 3.


Petrol becomes cheaper by Rs 8 in Delhi

Petrol has become cheaper by Rs 8.56 per liter from tonight in Delhi. The Delhi government has reduced VAT on petrol from 30% to 19.40 per cent in the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday, i.e. December 1. 


The current price of petrol in Delhi has come down from Rs 103.97 to around Rs 95.41 from midnight. This has made petrol-diesel cheaper than other metros in the country's capital Delhi. In Mumbai, the prices of both petrol and diesel are the highest in metros. Explain that petrol is over a century in major metros other than Delhi.

Petrol, diesel prices in major cities of India

In Delhi, the price of petrol is Rs 95.41 while the price of diesel is Rs 86.67 per liter. In Mumbai, petrol is priced at Rs 109.98 and diesel at Rs 94.14 per liter. In Kolkata, petrol is priced at Rs 104.67 per liter while diesel is priced at Rs 89.79 per liter. In Chennai, petrol is Rs 101.40 a liter and diesel is Rs 91.43 a liter.


Petrol, diesel are expensive due to this reason

After adding excise duty, dealer commission and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price almost doubles. Petrol and diesel prices fluctuate daily depending on what the prices of crude are in the international market along with foreign exchange rates.
