Today is the second day in a row that petrol-diesel prices have gone up. Government oil companies have increased the price of petrol by 35 paise per liter while the price of diesel has also increased by 35 paise per liter today.

New Delhi: The rising prices of petrol and diesel have shocked common people yet again today. Government oil companies have once again increased the price of petrol and diesel.

Today is the second day in a row that petrol-diesel prices have gone up. Government oil companies have increased the price of petrol by 35 paise per liter while the price of diesel has also increased by 35 paise per liter today.


Petrol-diesel prices in major cities of India:


In Delhi, petrol is priced at Rs 106.54 per liter while diesel is priced at Rs 95.27 per liter. In Mumbai, petrol is priced at Rs 112.44 and diesel at Rs 103.26 per liter. In Kolkata, petrol is priced at Rs 107.11 per liter while diesel is priced at Rs 98.38 per liter. In Chennai, petrol is Rs 103.61 a liter and diesel is Rs 99.59 a liter.


Significantly, its prices have reached above Rs 100 in many states. Rising petrol-diesel prices in the country are affecting the income of the common man. These increased prices of petrol and diesel are setting new records every day.

Petrol and diesel prices were hiked in this month except October 4, 12, 13, 18 and 19. Petrol prices have crossed 100 in a dozen states including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Bihar.


Petrol, diesel prices setting new records


In many states, petrol, diesel prices have reached above Rs 100. Rising petrol-diesel prices in the country are affecting the income of the common man. These increased prices of petrol and diesel are setting new records every day. 


Petrol prices have crossed 100 in a dozen states including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Bihar.

After adding excise duty, dealer commission and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price almost doubles. Petrol and diesel prices fluctuate daily depending on what the crude prices are in the international market along with foreign exchange rates.
