'Perfect Ten': Watch When Kumble rewrite cricket history
Eighteen years back on this day, Anil Kumble became the only second bowler in Test history to take all ten wickets in an innings.
Going 1-0 down into the match, India needed to win the second Test of the two-match series to salvage their pride, but it was in fact a draw which seemed to be on cards with the opponents Pakistan needing 420 runs in the second innings to win the match and series.
Pakistan were cruising at 101/0 with openers Shahid Afridi and Saeed Anwar looking in complete control. When Kumble was brought on, Pakistani began to crumble and India headed to a unlikely victory by 212 runs.
Speaking to BCCI on his achievement, Anil Kumble said that it was destined and such achievements cannot be planned.
