Noida: The Gautam Buddha Nagar district administration on Thursday announced to impose a night curfew in Noida from today. The curfew will remain in place till April 17 from 10 PM to 5 AM. All the essential and medical services will operate uninterrupted even during the curfew hours.
This comes after the Gautam Buddha Nagar administration urged the residents to inform the authorities about arrival of outsiders in their area in order to keep track of travellers who might pose as potential threat to already grappling situation.
"There shall be an intensive enforcement of masks and other Covid protocols in public places including work places, by police/incident commanders and by concerned departments," the order said.
On Wednesday, the district reported 125 new infection, taking the total rally to 26,697. The active cases rose to 652 from 579 the previous day. As many as 93 people have suffered virus related fatalities in Gautam Buddha Nagar.
