New Delhi, News24 Bureau, Jan 24: NEET 2021 entrance test will be organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) admission will be offered into MBBS/ BDS course. NEET 2021 will be organized via offline (Pen-paper based) mode. Qualifying candidates will be eligible for admission into various medical institutions situated in country. Admission into MBBS course in AIIMS & JIPMER will be made through NEET.
NEET 2021 Application Form:
The application form for NEET 2021 will be made available from first week of December till last week of December 2020. Candidates will be able to submit the application form only via online mode. Candidates are advised to fill only one application form as multiple forms will lead to rejection.
Authority will also provide correction facility to rectify the mistakes from third to last week of January 2021. The application fee for NEET 2021 will be done through offline or online mode. General/ OBC category candidates will have to submit Rs. 1400/- as their application fee while SC/ ST/ PwD/ Transgender category will have to submit Rs. 750/-.
Once all the details along with application fee will get submitted, candidates must take printout of filled in application form for further use.
NEET 2021 Eligibility Norms:
Indian National/ OCI/ PIO/ NRIs/ Foreign national category candidates will be eligible to apply for NEET 2021. Candidates must either qualify 12th level examination or must be appearing in 12th in year 2021 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English as their mandatory subject to be eligible for examination. To be eligible, candidates must score at least 50% marks (45% for PwD & 40% for reserved category) in PCB in the qualifying exam.
Candidates will be eligible to attempt NEET any number of times as there will be no attempts limit to apply for NEET. There will be no upper age limit to apply for NEET 2021.
Exam Details for NEET 2021:
NEET 2021 examination will be organized in first week of May 2021 via offline (pen-paper based) mode. Candidates will get 3 hours to solve the question paper. It will contain 180 objective type questions. Each correct answer will consist of 4 marks while 1 mark will get deducted for every wrong answer.
Physics & Chemistry both topics will contain 45 no. of questions while Biology part will consist of 90 questions (45 each in botany/ zoology). The question paper will be of 720 marks in total.
NEET 2021 Admit Card
After the process of the application form, the authority will publish NEET 2021 admit card via online mode. It will be made available in last week of March 2021. Candidates will have to use their login credentials to download admit card.
It will be mandatory for all applied candidates to carry admit card at the exam center. No candidates will be allowed for examination without admit card & valid ID proof.
Result & counselling details for NEET 2021
After the commencement of exam, authority will announce NEET 2021 result. It will be made available via online mode in first week of June 2021. Candidates will have to enter their roll number & date of birth to check result. Authority will also announce merit list on website via online mode.
Candidates whose name appears in the merit list will get a call for counselling. NEET 2021 counselling session will be organized by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) & Ministry of Health & Welfare Family (MOHFW). It will be mandatory for all qualified candidates to appear in the counselling process.
Candidates will have to carry various mandatory documents/ certificates for verification & submission at the time of counselling. Admission will be given to candidates after the process of verification.
