After India broke all global records in terms of single day Covid-19 case spikes, now heartbreaking news has come from Mumbai.
At least 13 people have died after a fire broke out in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Vijay Vallabh COVID-19 hospital in Virar, Mumbai.
The fire reportedly broke out at around 3 am on Friday.
"21 patients including those in critical condition have been shifted to another hospital," Dr. Dilip Shah, official, Vijay Vallabh COVID-19 care hospital, was quoted as saying by ANI.
Maharashtra is the worst affected state during the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has reportedly ordered an inquiry into the fire incident at Vijay Vallabh COVID-19 hospital in Virar.
