New Delhi: The national capital Delhi may experience light clouds and drizzle today. It is being said that pre-monsoon rain may take place in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. Light rain is also expected in these states.
Monsoon has started in many states of South India. Monsoon has caused heavy rain in parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Goa, Maharashtra, Kerala and Karnataka.
However, people will have to wait a little longer for relief from the heat wave in UP. It is estimated that it will take another 10-15 days for the monsoon to reach UP.
While issuing an alert, the Indian Metrological Department (IMD) said that till June 10, heavy rains are expected in many states. Heavy rains may take place in the next three days in the eastern states of the country along with the north-east states. It is being said that due to the strengthening of south-westerly winds, this change will be seen in the weather.
The Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that with the southwest monsoon setting foot in the Bay of Bengal, it is knocking in many north-east states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Manipur. In view of this, an alert of heavy rain has been issued here for the next three days.
