New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry has issued revised guidelines for patients with mild coronavirus infection or without Covid-19 symptoms living in home isolation.
It states that in case of stay in home isolation for 10 days and fever for three consecutive days, patients can come out of home isolation and there is no need for testing at that time.
According to the guidelines, the case of the patient should be decided by the health officer with a mild or non-symptomatic case. In such a case, self-isolation of the patient should be arranged at their home. The oxygen saturation of such patients living in the room should be more than 94 percent and there should also be better arrangement of ventilation. Confirmation of infectious patients should be confirmed after testing in laboratories.
A caretaker must be present all the time
A caregiver must be present at all times for the patient and communication between the caretaker and the hospital should be continued during home isolation. In case of coronavirus infection in people above 60 years of age and in cases of stress, diabetes, heart disease, chronic lung/liver/kidney disease, etc., the medical officer will approve home isolation only after properly checking the patient's health. .
Take paracetamol 650mg to control fever
If fever is out of control, paracetamol 650 mg can be taken four times a day. If fever is still not controlled then you can contact a doctor who can give non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug medicines like noproxen 250mg twice a day.
You can also take ivermectin tablets
The guidelines state that such patients can take ivermectin (200 mcg / kg) tablet once a day for three to five days. Inhalational budesonide can be given 800 mcg twice daily through inhaler for more than five days of fever/cough.
